    The 12th Steinlager I'a Lapo'a Game Fishing Tournament Committee is pleased to present for download copies of the final boat summaries. The summaries include the totals per species for each boat, the anglers' points, and the tag and release details.

    To the anglers and the sponsors we humbly thank you all for your participation and we hope to see you all again next year. Good luck and good fishing!

    Attached is a copy of the official catch report for the tournament. Highlights include:

    Total Yellowfin Weight: 1,126.6 lbs.
    Largest Yellowfin Weight: 154.2 lbs.

    Total Wahoo Weight: 1,106.8 lbs.
    Largest Wahoo Weight: 41.2 lbs.

    Total Masi Masi Weight: 167.6 lbs.
    Largest Masi Masi Weight: 35.2 lbs.

    Other species caught and brought to the weigh pole include Barracuda, Dogtooth Tuna, and Blue Marlin.

    The Pago Pago Game Fishing Association (PPGFA) return in 2011 with the 12th Steinlager I'a Lapo'a Game Fishing Tournament.

    An international tournament, this tournament is scheduled for May 9 - May 14, 2011.

  • I’a Lapo’a Fishing Tournament Report 2010

    This year the I’a Lapo’a Fishing Tournament was a huge success for everyone involved. Despite the weather conflicts for the first 2 days the tournament went ahead on Friday 21st May with fishing concluding on Sunday 23nd May at 2pm.

    We had a total of 22 boats register with over 100 contestants participating in the tournament itself. There were 60+ visitors from New Zealand, Australia and Samoa. Some came over on their boats while others flew in/out. We had 6 people who changed their flight details home so they could stay and complete the tournament when it was extended to the Sunday.
